Coal prices in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region rose slightly in the first week of September

According to the Ministry of Commerce’s Important Production Materials Market Monitoring System, this week (September 4-September 10, 2023), the price of coal in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region was 1,752 yuan/ton, an increase of 0.6% month-on-month. Among them: the prices of anthracite and bituminous coal were 1,512 yuan/ton and 1,872 yuan/ton respectively, up 0.7% and 0.6% month-on-month respectively. Reason analysis: First, the international market continues to fluctuate, and the international thermal coal market sentiment has rebounded slightly. However, major thermal coal import inventories remain high and demand is still relatively weak. Second, demand for thermal coal from residents and construction sites continues to rise, driving coal prices to continue to rise. Affected by heavy rain recently, coal prices in Guangxi are expected to continue to fluctuate and run weakly in the future.
