In December 2022, the 400,000-ton/year MDI project in Fuqing, Fujian Province was successfully put into operation. It is reported that the operating rate of the device has reached 80%.

At present, Wanhua Chemical's MDI production capacity is distributed in four regions, namely, Yantai, Shandong, 1.1 million tons/year, Ningbo, Zhejiang, 1.2 million tons/year, and Fuqing, Fujian, 400,000 tons tons/year, 350,000 tons/year in Kasinkebacha, Hungary. After the Ningbo base MDI project is put into operation, Wanhua Chemical's total MDI production capacity will reach 3.65 million tons/year.
