
Foreign media news on May 5: Ivanhoe Mines said that following the completion of the debottlenecking plan in late February 2023, the Kamoa-Kakula copper mine (Kamoa-Kakula) produced in the first quarter of 2023. 93,603 tons of copper, of which March production reached a record 34,915 tons of copper. The third phase of the Kamoakakula Copper Mine expansion is scheduled to take place in the fourth quarter of 2024. Upon completion of the expansion project, copper production will increase to a ten-year average of 620,000 tonnes per annum at a cash cost of US$1.22/lb.
