Auxiliary, compound and masterbatch manufacturing based in Israel Tosaf company recently announced that it has developed a new UV4120PE color masterbatch. A small amount of this masterbatch can extend the life of the UV-absorbing greenhouse film.

The test results show that the overall service life of the greenhouse film added with the new color masterbatch can be extended by 1 to 3 years. Adding Tosaf's new UV4120PE color masterbatch can improve the UV absorption effect of the film and improve product quality. In addition to improving long-term weather resistance, such a film also has a certain antiviral effect. Because many insects are potential virus vectors, they need ultraviolet light to spread. With the ultraviolet absorbing film, these insects will not go deep into the planting field. The company also notes that the lack of UV light also prevents bees from entering the planting area, meaning such films cannot be used for crops that require bee pollination.
